VTech is apparently a brand that’s been associated with electronics for kids for a while now and it appears that they have 3 new slates for this segment. These are the InnoTab MAX, the 3S and the 3 Plus. This is actually the fourth generation of InnoTab Android tablets for the little ones, with education but also entertainment in mind. The lowest level model is the InnoTab 3 Plus, that’s supposed to be an affordable entry level option for children. Then comes the 3S Plus, which is pretty much like the 3 Plus, only with more content on board this time and WiFi in the mix. The high point is the VTech InnoTab MAX, a 7 inch slate with a high resolution display, fast WiFi and a multi core processor.

Of course, if you own this VTech new tablets, you may give you children unmatchable HD movie enjoyment. But for DVD fans, if you have some children’s DVD film like Rio 2,Paw Patrol, The Lego Movie, Frozen (2013), etc and want to play these DVD on VTech InnoTab Max/3S Plus/3 Plus for your children, here is the right way.

It’s a little bit tricky, VTech InnoTab don’t have the DVD drive so that you cannot insert a DVD disc to your InnoTab Max/3S Plus/3 Plus for direct playing. That means, if you want to watch DVD movies on your InnoTab when travelling with your children, you will need to rip DVD to InnoTab compatible video formats like MP4. There is a large variety of different tools can do this. But for this guide I am using Pavtube DVDAid, one of the most popular DVD conversion application for phones and tablets due to its ease of use, the support provided when needed, and of course the very affordable price. Download the free trial version and go on! The mac version is Pavtube DVDAid for Mac.

Now, I will show you how to play children’s DVD film on VTech InnoTab Max/3S Plus/3 Plus.

Step 1: After you insert the DVD, install and run Pavtube DVDAid, launch it and load DVD movies with “Load file” icon. It also supports IFO image files. Below is the screenshot of the main interface after I load DVD movie.

Step 2: Then you need to choose the output format. Although Pavtube does not have the specific profile for InnoTab Max/3S Plus/3 Plus as iPad, you could choose “H.264 Video (*.mp4)” format under “Common Video”.

What’s more, you can transfer DVD movies to Iconia A1-830 and Nabi 2 Kids Tablet for watching.

Step 4: Customize the profile settings. You can adjust the video bitrate, frame rate, audio channels, etc. According to my experience, this step can be shipped because the original setting is enough.

Tip:

If your children begins to learn words, you could add some subtitles for the output videos so that they can review the words when enjoying the movies.

Step 5: Click the “Convert” button to start the conversion. Just waiting for a while and then you will get the output videos.

Step 6: Connect the VTech InnoTab to the computer and drop the movie file in your gallery or where ever your media files are kept. You should be able to then just open the file on your InnoTab Max/3S Plus/3 Plus and enjoy with your children now! Of course, it is not big deal to play any media files on VTech InnoTab 3S /3 for your kids.
